I thought Black Table's "Obelisk" was a top 10 extreme metal release of 2016. This EP from 2012 is a bit less experimental but I think just as amazing. Wonderful, complicated guitar parts, progressive bass lines that you can hear, very clean and clear drums that do not muddy up the music, and some of the most unique shrieky vocals ever. I don't know if it's Black Metal...there are aspects of it that remind of Minsk or Rwake...so I think of it as progressive blackened sludge.

It's hard to pick a favourite track. This is the only album i have so far deemed as "perfect", where every track, even the intro, is just a masterpiece in its own right. From the hard hitting Perturbator's Theme to the emotional title track, its 68 minutes of perfection. 10/10.
